Our code of business ethics and corporate compliance program outline the standards and conduct we employ in conducting our business.
California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure Statement
The Transparency in Supply Chains Act requires many large retailers and manufacturers doing business in California to disclose publicly their efforts to eradicate slavery, human trafficking and child labor from their supply chains. One objective of the law is to provide consumers with information that will enable them to make informed purchasing decisions.
Lactalis American Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries are dedicated to conducting business in a lawful and ethical manner. We also require our suppliers to conduct themselves in an ethical manner. We comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking in the countries in which we do business and require our direct suppliers to certify annually that they also are compliant. Our efforts to ensure and verify the absence of unethical labor practices in our supply chain include the following:
Supplier Communication: Annually, we send written requests to each of our direct suppliers to certify in writing that all supplied goods and materials incorporated into our products comply with all laws regarding slavery, human trafficking and child labor. Audits: We may conduct announced audits or inspections of our suppliers upon adequate notice to verify conformance with quality and performance metrics.
We will continue to strive to maintain the highest standards of conduct throughout our supply chain.
